Pros

It is a Historically Black College/Universiy (HBCU)

Virginia State University also offers campus safety and security services like late night transport/escort service, 24-hour emergency telephones, lighted pathways/sidewalks, controlled dormitory access (key, security card, etc.).

Virginia State University offers a number of student services, including nonremedial tutoring, placement service, health service.

Cons

It is a little far away from home.

Alcohol is not allowed on campus..

It is a hard school to get into.

My Thoughts

Virginia State University my favorite school ever, it has the major that I want, and allows me to get that on campus expeerience and I don't even have to travel that far! The older I got, the more the school appealed to me. I have been to VSU once and I was definitely amazed at the time. My friend is a junior there and she totally loves it. The people there are so friendly and its an HBCU!!!! That definitely makes me want to apply for it. I've heard that it is a friendly environment. It is definitely in my top 3 schools.
